Hannah Shakin Joins Downey Brand’s Trusts and Estates Team

Downey Brand is pleased to welcome senior associate Hannah Shakin to the firm’s wealth transfer/estate and trust administration practice group.

Hannah, a Certified Legal Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law by the California State Bar, comes to Downey Brand with more than eight years of experience in wealth transfer matters. Previously with Sacramento-based Trainor Fairbrook, Hannah’s practice is concentrated on the creation and development of highly tailored and comprehensive estate plans, with an emphasis on addressing each client’s individual needs and concerns. This can include revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, and powers of attorney, with a focus on minimizing estate, property, and income tax exposure.

Hannah currently serves on the Sacramento Estate Planning Council Board of Directors and is a member of the Active 20-30 Club of Greater Sacramento. She received her J.D. at Santa Clara University School of Law in 2014 after graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a double major in Spanish and Psychology.
