Associate
Lauren Murvihill leverages her analytical skillset and specialized knowledge of the environmental regulatory landscape to navigate complex environmental issues for her clients.
Lauren empowers her clients with the advocacy they need to confidently steer through the ever-evolving environmental regulatory landscape in California. She routinely works with the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Clean Air Act (CAA), the Clean Water Act (CWA), and their state statutory counterparts to obtain desirable outcomes for her clients. She also defends clients in enforcement and due diligence matters before state and federal enforcement agencies, including the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the State Water Resources Control Board, the Department of Toxic Substances Control, and the California Air Resources Board.
Before attending law school, Lauren interned for the California Environmental Protection Agency and the Sierra Club, which gives her a unique perspective on environmental regulatory and compliance issues and understanding of different stakeholders and key players. An effective oral advocate, Lauren brings refined legal research and writing skills to the table while advocating for her clients in a thoughtful and compelling manner. These experiences and skills enable Lauren to assist in a variety of far-reaching issues, including environmental enforcement defense, remediation, and toxic tort litigation.
