Zachary A. Streiff Joins Downey Brand’s Litigation Practice

Downey Brand is pleased to announce Zachary A. Streiff has joined the firm’s litigation practice as a senior associate.

Zachary Streiff comes to Downey Brand with an extensive litigation background encompassing breach of contract, harm to business interests, real property, and family trust disputes. His versatility in handling complex legal matters and diverse clientele spans across technology companies, Silicon Valley startups, California public entities, retail and hospitality businesses, as well as legal, healthcare, and financial professionals. Prior to joining our firm in 2024, Zach worked as a research attorney for the Civil Department of Monterey County Superior Court followed by five years spent practicing law at a small firm in Monterey County. Notably, Zach commenced his legal career with two years at the U.S. Department of Justice, Executive Office for Immigration Review, through the U.S. Attorney General’s Honors Program.

Zach earned his J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley School of Law in 2015. During his time in law school, he was an article editor for Ecology Law Quarterly, one of the nation’s most respected and widely read environmental law journals.

Zach has taught legal research and legal writing to several groups of law students at the Monterey College of Law. In his spare time, Zach enjoys running, gardening, and traveling internationally with his family.
