Litigation Partner Janlynn Fleener is One of Six Featured Panelists


On Thursday, March 10, Downey Brand hosted Sacramento’s first Women in Leadership Symposium.  The event, sponsored by the National Diversity Council, featured six panelists plus a moderator, all of whom spoke on a variety of topics relating to what women can do to better position themselves as leaders within the workplace and beyond.  The Sacramento event drew more than 70 women.

Downey Brand Litigation Partner Janlynn Fleener was one of Sacramento’s featured panelists speaking on “Positioning Yourself for the Next Big Opportunity,” wherein she discussed how successful careers can often result from pursuing the road less traveled and taking risks that allow you stand out amongst your peers and other leaders.  For a complete list of topics and panelists, visit the Symposium website.

The first Women in Leadership Symposium was organized and held in 2003 by the Texas Diversity Council in San Antonio, Texas.  Since then it has grown into a national event featuring symposiums in cities across the country and continues to bring together a diverse mix of successful women leaders who, through the discussion of topics relevant to today’s issues, help educate, inspire and encourage women to reflect on their own goals and status as they strive to move higher within their organizations.
