July 16, 2025

Presenter, The National Agricultural Law Center: "Western Water" Webinar Series

Join Downey Brand water rights attorney Brian Hamilton on July 16, 2025, at Noon ET for a webinar on Western water markets, with insights into recent legal and policy developments shaping their future. Brian will be speaking alongside Brett Bovee, the Intermountain Regional Director at WestWater Research.

Water markets are a functional way that Western states are able to maintain a robust system of water rights but also allow water users to adapt to changing water supply conditions and the growth of new demand sectors. This webinar will provide an introductory understanding of Western water markets, with a focus on legal and policy considerations of these markets. After providing a foundation on the scale of current water market activity, the hosts will dive into recent legal and policy actions that could have an impact on future market activity.
