This year’s program will focus on the future of California’s water Infrastructure and will include discussions on GSA designation and GSP preparation, stormwater runoff, utilization of water transfers to recharge groundwater basins, impacts on safe drinking water, and the challenges of an evolving climate. Downey Brand water law partner Andrea Clark will moderate the panel on “Utilization of Water Transfers to Recharge Groundwater Basins” (1:00-2:15 p.m.).
In light of SGMA and the newly formed Groundwater Sustainability Agencies, this panel will discuss how to address the challenges posed by California’s aging water infrastructure and complex water rights systems by utilizing water transfers to recharge groundwater basins and achieve a sustainable yield.
