On May 31st, CARB issued the draft Greenhouse Gas Emission Standards for Crude Oil and Natural Gas Facilities, or the "Methane Rule," for the oil and gas industry that will impact the following sectors: Onshore and offshore crude oil and natural gas production; Crude oil, condensate, and produced water separation and storage; Natural gas underground storage; Natural gas gathering and boosting stations; Natural gas processing plants; and Natural gas transmission compressor stations.
