Downey Brand water law partner Scott Shapiro will moderate a panel of esteemed experts on flood control, floodplain management, and ecosystem restoration as part of CCVFCA’s Annual Flood Forum. The forum brings together leaders and practitioners from across California to discuss innovative approaches to flood management and strategies for building more resilient, sustainable communities. Keynote Speaker David Skuodas of the Mile High Flood District will share insights from over a decade of implementing nature-based infrastructure. Building on these insights, the panel will explore how integrated, cost-effective design strategies can be applied in California and the Central Valley, as well as the key opportunities and challenges facing today’s flood control operators.
