Downey Brand is pleased to announce the addition of My Tien Doan to the firm’s Family Law team.
Doan boasts outstanding credentials for a first year attorney: she has held several legal affairs positions, spanning two administrations at the Office of the Governor of California; she worked as a mediator for the Prisoners Civil Rights Mediation Clinic; she garnered employment law experience at the Center for Workers’ rights; and worked on a variety of housing issues as an intern for Legal Services of Northern California. Her extensive background working in public service and for several non-profit organizations, has given her a keen sense of the complex nature of social issues. This experience, her passion for helping others, and her skilled advocacy make her a perfect fit for Downey Brand’s preeminent Family Law practice.
Doan earned her Juris Doctor in 2018 from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where she was active in Moot Court, the Public Legal Services Society, and the Black Law Students Association. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, with a minor in Political Science, from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida in 2015. She is the first in her family to earn a law degree.
