Reclamation Releases Environmental Document for Repair of Friant-Kern Canal

On February 8, 2020, the United States Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) released its environmental document for a project intended to repair the Friant-Kern Canal, entitled the Friant-Kern Canal Middle Reach Capacity Correction Project (Project). The Project aims to restore the capacity of a 33-mile reach of the Friant Kern Canal (FKC) to its original design and constructed capacity level, which has been reduced by over 50 percent as a result of subsidence and design deficiencies.
