DTSC Overhaul, Other Environmental Bills, Await Signature

Now that California’s legislative session has drawn to a close, a stack of newly passed bills sits on Governor Newsom’s desk awaiting signature. Hundreds of bills on various topics were abandoned this year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic shrinking the budget and reducing the amount of time to hold hearings. But a handful of notable, environmentally-focused bills made it through both houses of the Legislature and are now waiting either for approval or a veto by the Governor.
