Senior Associate Adam Pearse Joins Firm’s Natural Resources and Environmental Practice

Downey Brand is pleased to welcome senior associate Adam Pearse to the firm’s well-established statewide natural resources and environmental practice.

Adam joins the firm’s San Francisco office following his time as an associate attorney at San Francisco-based Edgcomb Law Group, where he represented Fortune 50 clients in complex federal and state environmental litigation matters. In his current practice, Adam represents a variety of public and private sector clients involved in natural resources issues, including water quality, environmental defense, the Clean Water Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA).

Before working as an associate attorney in California, Adam gained legal experience in Washington D.C., working for nonprofit organizations Oceana as outside counsel and the Sierra Club as a law fellow. Adam also taught math and science in the New York City public school system, during which he earned a Master of Secondary Education and Mathematics from City College of New York.

Adam received his J.D. from Tulane University Law School, where he wrote for the Tulane Environmental Law Journal and competed for the school’s Moot Court Board. Before law school, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy at Duke University.
