Bret Meich Earns Nevada Legal Elite Recognition

Downey Brand is pleased to announce that litigator Bret Meich was recognized by Nevada Business Magazine as one of Northern Nevada’s 2018 Legal Elite.

Legal Elite is an annual list honoring exceptional attorneys in Nevada. This year’s list, compiled from peer nominations, includes only the top 3 percent of attorneys in the state. Meich was recognized for his work in the practice areas of Business Litigation and Government. He was additionally recognized as one of Nevada’s Best Up and Coming Attorneys. The full list of honorees can be viewed online and in the June 2018 issue of Nevada Business Magazine.

Meich has 10 years of experience representing clients in complex commercial litigation matters, including extensive litigation concerning intellectual property issues. With a background in government—Meich worked at the Nevada Legislative Counsel Bureau and served on legislative staff in the United States Senate—he also regularly counsels clients on governmental, legislative, and regulatory matters.  Bret attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas William S. Boyd School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, after acquiring his Bachelor of Arts and Science, cum laude, from Georgetown University.

Among the various community organizations he supports, Bret serves as Assistant Governor for Rotary District 5190, where he oversees the eight Rotary clubs located in Reno and Sparks.
