Attorney Michelle Albright Returns to Downey Brand

Downey Brand is pleased to welcome back Michelle Albright as counsel in the firm’s family law practice.

Michelle Albright returns to the firm with nearly twenty years of legal experience, including a decade spent practicing all areas of family law, such as dissolution of marriage, legal separation, asset division and characterization, child and spousal support, child custody, pre-marital agreements, and domestic violence. While Michelle prioritizes resolving every case amicably and efficiently, she is also a skilled litigator who advocates for her clients’ best interests both in and out of the courtroom.

Most recently, Michelle spent seven years working as an attorney supervisor for the CA Department of Tax and Fee Administration. Her prior experience also includes representing clients in labor and employment issues and working as deputy district attorney for the Placer County District Attorney’s Office.

Michelle earned her J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law with great distinction in 2007. Prior to law school, she received her B.A. with honors from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 2002.

Michelle currently teaches Professional Responsibility at Lincoln Law School. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and attending concerts and theater shows. She can often be found in the yoga studio or getting her heart broken by the Sacramento Kings.
