Senior Associate

Anthony Chavez represents clients in a wide array of litigation matters in state and federal court and before arbitration panels.

Anthony’s litigation practice is diverse and includes assisting clients across a broad spectrum of industries including real estate, construction, agribusiness, apparel, banking, manufacturing, and technology. Drawing on experience gained while attending college in the Silicon Valley and working for a tech company before attending law school, Anthony is adept at e-discovery and employing technology to save costs in litigation. Anthony is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and advises clients on privacy issues.

Anthony also draws on experience gained while growing up in a farming family in the Central Valley to provide advice and counsel tailored to the specific legal needs of farmers and others in the agribusiness industry.

  • Represented a public agency in multiple lawsuits to recover millions of dollars stolen over decades in a sweeping public corruption scheme.
  • Successfully defended a farmer in an agricultural trespass case.
  • Managed e-discovery involving terabytes of data for a water district client engaged in a dispute over a decades-old contract.
  • Advise companies on responses to potential data breaches.
  • Advise companies on compliance with Prop 65.
