Bay Planning Coalition's 6th Annual CEQA Update


Downey Brand partners Kathryn Oehlschlager and Christian Marsh (both in our San Francisco office) are speaking at the Bay Planning Coalition’s 6th Annual CEQA Update in Oakland on October 25, 2018.

During this year’s CEQA Update, Kathryn will sit on a panel titled, Climate Change, New Guidelines, and Transportation, followed by discussion and Q&A. Later, Kathryn will present during a portion of the “Year in Review,” touching on significant CEQA developments of 2017/2018. Kathryn will be joined by:

Specifically, Christian will discuss issues related to NEPA and Federal Permit Streamlining. Topics will include:

  • Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act (FAST 41), Federal Permitting Improvement Steering Council, and the Permitting Dashboard for covered infrastructure projects
  • Executive Orders 13766 and 13807 for expediting federal environmental reviews and establishing accountability for priority infrastructure projects
  • Department of the Interior Secretarial Order 3355 on streamlining NEPA review
  • Advanced notice of proposed rulemaking on NEPA regulations
