Downey Brand is pleased to announce the addition of Patrick Doust to the firm’s Trust and Estate Litigation team.
Doust comes to Downey Brand with extensive trial experience in matters involving elder abuse, trusts and estates, real estate, as well as general commercial litigation and white collar criminal defense. His aggressive litigation style in high-value and oftentimes emotionally charged cases, is a tremendous asset to the firm and its clients. Prior to Downey Brand, Patrick practiced for six years at a prominent firm in Los Angeles, where he represented individuals as well as large, multinational companies in a variety of disputes. In 2018, Patrick was a Legal Fellow at International Justice Mission’s Mumbai office where he worked with local prosecutors to bring criminal charges against sex-traffickers.
Doust earned his Juris Doctor from University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2011, where he was the Associate Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Journal Of Business Law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, with minors in Political Science and Accounting, from University of California, Los Angeles in 2007.
