Downey Brand Partner Silvio Reggiardo Appointed Sacramento County Bar President

Downey Brand is pleased to announce that firm partner Silvio Reggiardo III has been elected President of the Sacramento County Bar Association (SCBA).

Reggiardo was sworn in at the SCBA Annual Meeting on December 4, 2017, when he transitioned from his current position as First Vice President. Reggiardo has served on the SCBA Board for three years. He is the former Second Vice President, Secretary-Treasurer, Pro Bono Committee Chair, Bylaws Committee Chair, and Tax Section Chair.

“I look forward to being the SCBA’s President during its centennial year in 2018. It will be a time to take stock in the SCBA’s many accomplishments and to plan for its future,” said Reggiardo.

Reggiardo has nearly 30 years of experience representing individuals and closely-held businesses. His practice emphasizes estate planning, taxation, and transactions. He earned his law degree, cum laude, from University of California, Hastings College of the Law and holds a graduate tax law degree from New York University. He is a California CPA (inactive) and a California State Bar Certified Specialist in both Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law and Tax Law. Prior to joining Downey Brand in 1990, Reggiardo worked with the international accounting firm of Ernst & Young in San Francisco.
