Kelly Breen Selected as a Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellow

March 14, 2023

Downey Brand is pleased to announce that Kelly Breen has been named a 2023 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellow. This year-long professional development program connects attorneys with eight to 15 years of experience with leading general counsel, managing partners, and peers for impactful mentoring opportunities and pertinent career guidance.

“We’re thrilled that Kelly, who is one of the firm’s up-and-coming leaders, was selected for this program,” said managing partner Janlynn Fleener. “Organizations like LCLD, which help to build a more inclusive legal profession, are so important right now and we’re excited that Kelly will have the opportunity to leverage the LCLD curriculum and programs to gain even more leadership experience and build upon her existing skills.”

Over the years, the LCLD Fellows program has built a reputation for helping launch participants into top legal positions, with a substantial number of Fellows alumni becoming leaders within their organizations. Kelly, a key member of Downey Brand’s litigation department, represents a variety of corporate clients in commercial litigation with an emphasis on agricultural crop damage, food labeling, premises liability, shareholder disputes, environmental litigation, product liability, and real estate litigation.

“I am looking forward to joining the LCLD Fellows program this year to expand my professional network,” Kelly said. “I am honored to participate in this wonderful organization that remains committed to the inclusion and advancement of diverse attorneys.”

This marks the second year in which a Downey Brand attorney has been nominated and selected for LCLD’s Fellow program, following Hina Gupta’s selection last year. To learn more about LCLD, we you encourage you to visit their website.
