Trust and Estate Planning Services
We have crafted thousands of
estate plans for clients and have represented multiple generations in
many families.
Five of our planners are certified
as Specialists in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law by the State
Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Two are members of
the American College of Trusts and Estates Counsel and have been members
of the State Bar Trusts and Estates Section Executive Committee. Another
is currently a member of that committee. Our planners also teach courses
and participate in other activities that help keep them current with
estate planning strategies.
Our services include -
- Drafting wills, revocable (living) trusts, financial powers of attorney,
advance health care directives and related documents.
- Consulting with clients about whether and what sort of no-contest
clause should be included in a will or trust.
- Advising clients regarding valuation issues, estate freeze techniques
and other wealth transfer approaches, and charitable giving.
- Employing advanced planning tools, such as family-owned entities,
generation-skipping trusts, special needs trusts, life insurance trusts,
charitable trusts, grantor retained interest trusts, and installment
sales to grantor trusts.
- Helping family-owned businesses with entity structure and succession
planning to achieve business objectives over multiple generations.
