Oil and Gas Law Representative Experience
Examples of our oil and gas experience include:
- Serving as special counsel to numerous major and independent oil
companies active in California in connection with acquisitions and
the review of title, and rendering of acquisition, drillsite, and
division order opinions on title.
- Negotiating and drafting purchase and sale agreements for oil, gas
and geothermal leases/projects including power purchase agreements.
- Performing due diligence for major acquisitions of oil and gas leases,
oil and gas fee, geothermal leases/projects, and cogeneration plants.
- Oil, gas and geothermal litigation involving, among other issues,
drainage, pooling, royalty valuation, and other lease issues; quiet
title and lease cancellation actions; and, trade secrets.
- Representing clients involved in oil, gas and geothermal bankruptcies.
- Representing oil, gas and other resource clients in tax matters
including advising clients, negotiating with assessors and, when necessary,
appearing before assessment appeals boards and trial and appellate
courts.
