  • Defending a major PRP in cost recovery and injunction litigation at a multi-party complex soil and groundwater contamination site covering approximately 600 acres of a Central Valley city.
  • Representing landowners with successful mediation of a multimillion dollar cost recovery litigation action against landfill owners and operators for contamination of groundwater.
  • Defending nation's largest car rental company in various environmental matters including successful mediation of multi-party soil and groundwater contamination dispute at San Francisco International Airport.
  • Serving as lead counsel in a cost recovery action involving soil and groundwater contamination at a wood products remanufacturing facility that operated for over 80 years in Northern California.
  • Managing all facets of complex civil litigation, with an emphasis on environmental cases involving CERCLA, RCRA, Porter-Cologne, Hazardous Substances Account Act (HSAA), and environmental torts, in both state and federal courts.
  • Lead attorneys representing multiple multinational petroleum corporations in cost recovery action initiated by state agency for abandoned waste oil/liquids recycling facility.
  • Acting as common counsel to multi-party PRP Trust conducting multi-million dollar response actions at abandoned used oil recycling facility, and conducting cost recovery efforts against hundreds of PRPs.
  • Representing parties in administrative proceedings before various Regional Water Quality Control Boards on cease and desist orders, cleanup or abatement orders, and waste discharge requirements.
  • Representing clients in negotiations with counties (as local enforcement agencies) for site investigation, remediation and closures of petroleum contaminated sites.
  • Representing and defending multinational food corporations in cost recovery actions initiated by EPA and the California Department of Toxic Substances Control.
  • Lead attorneys representing major PRP in EPA administrative action for cleanup of abandoned waste oil recycling facility, including representing major PRP in Steering Committees (Chair and Vice Chair positions).
  • Representing multiple PRPs in chlorinated solvent and petroleum cost recovery litigation initiated by public agency.
  • Lead attorneys representing client in landfill closure and contribution action initiated by EPA Region IX.
  • Representing former property owners in cost recovery and breach of contract litigation for former petroleum UST site.
  • Lead attorneys evaluating and implementing soil and ground water remedial systems at sites dealing with petroleum hydrocarbons and/or chlorinated solvent contamination.
  • Representing UST site owners in obtaining California LUFT fund reimbursements.
  • Representing property owners in litigation involving chlorinated solvent soil and ground water contamination in Southern California.
  • Representing transporter in CERCLA cost recovery litigation involving closure/post closure of hazardous waste landfill.
