2011 Summer Associates

EDWARD J. BROWN is a second year student at the University of California, Davis School of Law. He received his B.A. in Political Science – International Relations with a minor in Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis in 2008. Edward’s previous work experience includes spending his 1L summer at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, working as a Research Assistant for UCD SOL Professor Clayton Tanaka, and as a Resident Advisor & Tutor for the King Hall Outreach/PLUS Program.

KATHARINE E. BUDDINGH is a second year student at the University of California, Davis School of Law. She received her B.A. in History and French from the University of California, Davis in 2008. Katharine’s previous work experience includes an externship with Judge Karon Bowdre in the Northern District of Alabama, and working as a Legislative Assistant/Scheduler for California State Assembly Member Brian Nestande.

BRITTANY L. CHENEY is a second year student at the University of California, Davis School of Law. She received her B.A. in International Communication from Pacific Union College in 2007. Brittany’s previous work experience includes working as a Recruitment Support Specialist for Adventist Health, a Development Technician at River Oak Center for Children, and as an Intern for Spectrum Magazine.

ANNA CRIVELLI is a second year student at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. She received her B.A. in Political Science from California Polytechnic State University in 2006. Anna’s previous work experience includes an externship with Judge Larry Hicks at the U.S. District Court in Nevada and working as a Medi-Cal Eligibility Worker for the Santa Barbara County Department of Social Services.

EKATERINA P. DEAVER is a second year student at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. She received a Professional Degree in Law from Mari State University School of Law in Russia in 1998. Ekaterina’s previous work experience includes working as a Law Clerk for the City of Sacramento, Office of the City Attorney, as a Field Interviewer for Walter R. McDonald & Associates, Inc., and as a Senior Lecturer at Mari State University School of Law.


HARVEEN GILL is a first year student at the University of California, Davis School of Law. She received her B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Intercultural Communication from Pepperdine University in 2009. Harveen’s previous work experience includes working as a Research Assistant for Colleen Graffy, former deputy United States Assistant Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy, as a Law Office Intern for Martinez, Hayes, Hyatt & Hill, and as a Bank Teller for Butte Community Bank.

KEVIN JAMES is a second year student at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. He received his B.A. in History from the University of California, Davis in 2008. Kevin’s previous work experience includes working as a Legal Intern for the Sacramento District Attorney’s Office, a Legal Intern for the Planning and Conservation League, and as an Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach for Grossmont Unified School District.
