Bio

Megan Lane is an associate in the Litigation group of Downey Brand LLP.  Megan handles a diverse range of litigation issues including corporate contract disputes, real property disagreements, and actions involving misappropriation of trade secrets.  Megan has also assisted in actions involving fraud, unfair competition, breach of fiduciary duty, and shareholder claims.  Megan also has significant experience with actions pending in both federal and state court. 

Prior to joining the firm, Megan clerked for the Honorable James A. Rice of the Montana Supreme Court.  Megan received her J.D. from the University of California, Davis, School of Law in 2007 and was the editor-in-chief of the U.C. Davis Business Law Journal.  During law school Megan was inducted into the Order of the Barristers, a national honorary organization for excellence in oral and written advocacy.  Megan received her B.A., Honors, with majors in Business Economics and Law & Society from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 2003.
