Defend public and private employers in jury and bench trials and at arbitrations against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, corporate employee raiding, unfair business practices, breach of employment contract, fraud and defamation. Represent public entities in labor arbitrations and act as special counsel at board meetings to provide labor and employment advice. Provide advice and counsel to a broad range of public and private clients in areas including employee disciplinary problems, wage and hour issues, employee leaves, sexual harassment and discrimination prevention, investigations, terminations and separation agreements. Conduct investigations into employee complaints of harassment, discrimination, and whistle-blowing claims. Prepare employment agreements, employee handbooks, confidentiality agreements and drug testing policies. Perform employee training on sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation and conducting investigations. |
