Successfully represented one of California's largest Ski Resorts in an appeal of its subdivision map and development plans.

Responsible for reviewing wide array of environmental documents for legal sufficiency, including mining reclamation plans, revegetation plans, Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs) and Environmental Impact Statements (EISs) on behalf of residential and commercial projects subject to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and/or the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

Facilitated acquisitions of oil and gas leases.

Prepared oil, gas, mineral and geothermal title opinions including drill site, supplemental, acquisition and division order title opinions.

Represented winery for the negotiation of an interim use agreement, conditional use permit and other entitlements.

Represented developers in obtaining land use entitlements such as conditional use permits, building permits, general plan amendments, county line adjustments, subdivision maps and zoning changes.

Advised clients regarding Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) law and procedures.

Assisted in negotiating and drafting development agreements for commercial projects.

Advised clients on technical requirements of mining operations, zoning, conditional use permits and determining vested rights status.

Advised clients on compliance with the California Surface Mining and Reclamation Act (SMARA).

Represented clients on a variety of Williamson Act issues; including permitting, compatible uses and petitions for cancellation of Williamson Act contracts.

Drafted appellate briefs before the California Supreme Court regarding the constitutionality of the California Coastal Commission.

Drafted appellate briefs before the First and Third District Courts of Appeals regarding the Permit Streamlining Act and California's open range laws.

Represented clients in writ proceedings against local governments for the unlawful denial of development permits.

Represented clients in motions for attorney fees under California's Private Attorney General Statute.

Assisted developers and mining companies in complying with California Lake and Streambed Alteration requirements and obtaining permits for same.

Represented clients in connection with the government violation of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).

Represented clients before local, regional, state and federal government permitting agencies in connection with permits and entitlements associated with commercial, residential and mining development.

Represented real property owners and organizations before all levels of the California Court system.

Handled all aspects of environmental (CEQA) and land use litigation including drafting a wide variety of complaints, motions, and writs, making court appearances and conducting settlement negotiations with opposing counsel.

Represented clients before the California Energy Commission in conjunction with Applications for Certification.
