The San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board advised stakeholders today that the public hearing scheduled for March 13, 2013 to consider adopting a Mitigated Negative Declaration and Conditional Waiver of Waste Discharge Requirements for discharges from Eligible Vineyard Properties in the Napa River and Sonoma Creek Watersheds is cancelled. The Regional Board stated that the cancellation was due to the numerous comment letters received from, among others, the Napa County Farm Bureau, the Napa Valley Grapegrowers, the Napa Valley Vintners, and the Winegrowers of Napa County, along with staff turnover, and the need to evaluate its strategy in light of these issues.
