Kindon Olsen is a registered patent attorney with significant experience preparing and prosecuting both utility and design patent applications in the mechanical arts. Additionally, he advises clients on patent prosecution strategies, patent portfolio development, and patent harvesting efforts.
Kindon’s previous experience includes civil litigation and IP prosecution. He has prepared and prosecuted patent applications in the fields of digital image processing, social media, medical devices, industrial equipment and systems, consumer products, automotive, materials processing and recycling, packaging, and energy-efficient technologies. Kindon also in-depth knowledge and experience in procuring and enforcing mobile app, display screen, and animated graphical user interface design patents, as well as design patents for traditional three dimensional products, both domestically and internationally.
Before prosecuting patents, Kindon practiced general litigation and business law with mid-sized California based law firms. Prior to entering the field of law, Kindon worked in the tech and defense industries in both Southern and Northern California as an engineer. His work experience includes designing the integration of payload subsystems on commercial satellites and designing and sourcing dynamic components for high capacity tape and disk storage devices.
